The beach is situated in the village of Plaka, within a distance of 3 kilometers from the touristic resort of Elounda, exactly opposite to the touristic attraction of the island of Spinalonga. It is 320 meters long and with a width of approximately 30 meters. It is a beach with pebbles and with the typical flora of the area which consists of low bushes. The wider area is also used for fishing. There is a water sports facility on the beach and access to the beach can be obtained through the hotel located nearby or through passages on both sides of the beach that give direct access to it.
