The beach Ierapetra 1 is a tiny beach with sand and pebbles , which is in the center of Ierapetra town . It is near to the bus station and easy to access from every part of the town. The beach has the needed equipment for the visitors, like deck chairs, shower, wooden walkways, ramps, access and parking for the unable persons. The Municipal center for the tourists, which is close to the beach, has WC for unable persons.There are sport facilities near the beach , but not so close to be annoying to the visitors. As the beach is in the town of Ierapetra there are many hotels rent-rooms and rent-a cars/bike /bicycle stores. The beach also is very close to the harbor from where the boats to the Chryssi island are leaving through the summer period. This island has a unique ecosystem, with native kinds of flora and a forest with Juniperus macrocarpa trees.
