Kalathos is among the newest tourist family resorts of the island and is located in the southern part of the island, only being inhabited by 380 people round-the-year. It is somewhat distant from the City of Rhodes, however if you are looking for a quite place to get some rest and relax, then maybe it is the ideal place for you. You will be able to swim in the beach of the village, in Masari or in nearby Vlicha with its extended sand-stretch. The beach is organized and offers sun beds and umbrellas, a beach bar, facilities for sea sports, even some rooms to let with a view to the sea. Another positive point of this beach is that, no matter how many people gather here, it is unlikely to ever look too crowded because of it being so extended.
